MAKOS SWIM TEAM PREP

Participants will refine the 4 competitive strokes while increasing endurance and technique. Each day will consist of dynamic stretching, instructional time, and racing drills. No class on Nov 28.

  • Prerequisites: Swim front crawl 25 yards with rotary breathing, backstroke 25 yards, breaststroke 25 yards, and butterfly 15 yards. Submerge and swim 3-5 body lengths underwater.

MAKOS SWIM TEAM (AGE GROUP)

Dive into four action-packed practices each week where fun meets performance. The Makos combine the excitement of recreational swimming with friendly competition and lasting friendship. Swimmer wanting to compete in the South Florida Swim League are subject to league fees. 

  • Prerequisites: New swimmers must graduate from Makos Swim Team Prep or be evaluated before registration. Please contact aquainfo@pbgfl.gov for evaluation scheduling.

Inclement Weather

Our top priority is providing a safe environment for our Mako swimmers and their families. In the event of inclement weather, all patrons will be asked to clear the deck immediately. The Aquatic Complex uses the Weather Bug application to determine if lightning is within a 10-mile radius of our facility. If lightning is within a 10-mile radius, or lightning is seen, a whistle will be blown indicating it is time to evacuate the pool deck. During this evacuation, swimmers will remain under the direction of their coach and transition to a dry land activity within the building. No refunds will be issued in the event of inclement weather.

All refunds must be requested in writing at any of our Recreation service desks or through the Refund Request Electronic Form.
