Take Advantage of Florida's Sales Tax Holidays
The State of Florida is helping families get ready for the first day of school and hurricane season this month. From July 24 through August 6, the state is holding its Back-to-School Sales Tax Holiday. During the holiday, you won’t pay tax on certain clothes, footwear, school supplies or learning aids. You can find more information about the tax holiday and eligible items here.
Later this month, Florida will also hold its second Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday of the year. From August 26 through September 8, you won’t pay tax on hurricane preparedness items like toilet paper, batteries, candles, and flashlights. For a full list of eligible items, click here.
