April Pools’ Day, our free water safety event, is happening this Saturday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Palm Beach Gardens Aquatic Complex (4420 Burns Road). Here’s what you need to know before you go:
Bring a bathing suit! Participating children should wear bathing suits and expect to get wet. Parents do not need a bathing suit and should not expect to get wet.
Are the slides open? No, this is a water safety education event so the water slides and some other play amenities will not be open.
Is the Splash Zone open? Yes, the Splash Zone will be open from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for April Pools’ Day participants only.
Is this event open to non-residents? Yes, all children and families are welcome.
Where to park? As parking is limited due to the Burns Road Community Center and playground construction. Participants can park in the Lakeside Center parking lot to the west of the existing playground. Participants may utilize the Gardens Park/City Hall parking lot for overflow parking.
What ages are welcome? Children of all ages can attend, but participants should be four years or older to participate successfully and independently in the water safety education lessons.
Will there be food? Yes, Chick-Fil-A will be on-site selling a limited option menu. Concessions and non-alcoholic beverages will also be for sale.
