The Operations Division includes 151 shift personnel housed in six stations strategically placed throughout the city to ensure optimal response times. These highly trained personnel respond to more than 14,000 emergency calls for service each year.
The Operations Division is responsible for all emergency responses including fire suppression, emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, disaster response (natural or man-made disasters such as hurricanes, floods, or major accidents), and technical rescue (high angle, confined space, building collapse, vehicle extrication).
